What is VENSA?
The Venezuelan Student Association at the Florida State University was established in order to promote unity among Venezuelan and all Latino students, share our culture, to guide newly-arrived Venezuelan students in their process of cultural and social adaptation and to increase the general awareness of current events in Venezuela.
The Venezuelan Student Association (VENSA) at FSU promotes unity within the Latino community on campus and shares the Venezuelan culture with the student body. Aside sharing our way of life, one of our main scopes was to aid new international students and help them acclimate to life in the states. It’s not easy moving to a new country, most of us in VENSA were immigrants and we understood the struggle. We wanted to help these students feel included into the student body and feel comfortable in their new home. All in all, we are a group of passionate students aiming to narrow the gap between the American and Venezuelan culture and unify people of all shapes and colors.
