Cycling

The feeling of freedom and competition against yourself are some of the drivers behind my passion for cycling. Getting lost in the trails for hours and being with no one but your thoughts and mother nature while challenging yourself is one of the most blissful experiences I’ve encountered. Some people do yoga to clear the mind, I get lost in the woods and pedal my problems away.

Traveling

Like Mark Twain once said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” I aspire to learn more about the world around and thus learn more about myself.

Fitness

Bodybuilding is the art and passion of aesthetics, the geometry of the human anatomy in an attempt to create the perfect sense of structural balance and muscular harmony. The ability to accentuate a line, curve, or shadow, not with the stroke of a brush, but with the sweat and pain of dedication and persistence. A passion toward physical health is imperative for mental wellbeing.

Gastronomy

I think it all started out with my passion for science.  The mixing of ingredients, the application of heat to catalyze reactions, the different flavors working together. It all felt very much like a chemistry experiment, and I loved it. It was my own lab to do as I pleased, no rules, no set limitations. Just me, my creativity, and my curiosity. Mix that passion for scientific creation with my gluttonous appetite and you get yourself a recipe for a master cook.

Music Festivals

Do you even rave, bro? My fascination with music festivals started out in the fall of 2007 when a group friends invited me to Autumn Music Festival, a small underground house concert in Miami; the rest was history. From Ultra Miami, Ultra Bali, EDC Orlando, EDC New York, and some others, music festivals are some of my favorite experiences and societal getaways. I will try and continue to attend music festivals round the world for as long as I can.

Rugby

The camaraderie, the intensity of the game, the passion for the sport, the high regarded principles, the thirst for victory. These are all thing that characterize rugby and its players. Also, some of the biggest reasons why I feel in love with the sport. It’s not a game it’s a culture. Being part of the rugby community helped me grow as an individual and a team player. I have learned many skills, both on and off the field, that I still to apply to my life today.

DJ

The whole DJ endeavor started when a friend offered me $20 to play music at his party. I had no equipment, but I did have the music. I knew my uncle had some old speakers he could let me borrow for the night, I downloaded virtual DJ on my laptop, and that was my debut. I slowly but surely began to gain traction in my home town and before I knew it I was doing several events every weekend. This was the perfect job/hobby for a high schooler, I got invited to a ton of parties and got paid for doing so.

Guitar

From messing around with my uncles old DJ equipment to experimenting in Garage Band, I’ve always had a passion for making music.  One year, my younger brother got a guitar for his birthday and I ended up playing it more than he did. Before I knew it, I was taking lessons several times a week and owned several guitars of my own. Playing an instrument is a blissful mental escape into a dimension of tones and an incredible emotional outlet for the soul. I still play and will continue to play for a very long time.
